Alghero
In the evening we arrived in alghero where we decided to stay the night. Finding a hotel wasn't to easy since there is only one in the old town. Funny enough we walked right into the restaurant Al Tuguri. We read about it in the Merian last year but since it is supposed to be the best restaurant in sardinia and is michelin rated we thought it's impossible just walk in. But now that we stood right in front of it we tried - and got a table for 8 o'clock.
It's certainly not only the best restaurant in sardinia, it's also a very friendly place and relaxed place. We did not get a wine list, the chef, Benito Carbonella, just asked what we like and then brought us the fantastic Grotta Rossa wine. I was a bit scared that we would end up with a very expensive bill. What a surprise when we found out that the wine actually costs 18€!
The food was just delicious. We'll be back.
