So we're getting nervous because for once, there's a real possibility for the Young Boys to become champions. The stadium was sold out, but I'm afraid all those people won't come back so soon after this disappointing performance by the Boys.
The fluidity of the game is gone. Also the changes to the line up because of injuries and such have a terrible effect. Thierry Doubai and Xavier Hochstrasser in the middle had worked like fantastically well, and without them nothing seems to work, - I don't think we've seen one decent build up in this game. They were fighting alright, but tactics were all wrong. Also Varela we sorely missed in attack. Our coach Martin Andermatt should really sort out our keeper Marco Wölfli and forbid him once and for all to kick the so bloody far (where its NEVER on target) and pass it to one of his men instead, so they may start a decent attack. Wölfli wasted countless balls like this. Virtually every goalkick resultet in an attack by our opponents.
For FC Basel fighting for the top spot is routine work, - they do it every year. For us its a novelty and we're totally losing our cool!
This game was very different from the last home game which we had also lost (against FC Luzern). There we did everything right, but just couldn't get the ball in. Here we did everything wrong, the only goal we scored was because the nutty Xamax keeper Zubi gently passed us the ball from his goal line. Well thanks.
We have to completely change tactics and get our cool back if we want to stand a chance against GC on tuesday and retain a chance for the title against Basel on Saturday in a week.
